Human dignity encompasses everything Kijiji Solutions stands for. Our work supports residents of slums who come together around common issues, get community buy-in, and team up to implement workable solutions with local stakeholders.
Richard Haukom
Founder, Executive Director, Board Chair
Richard is an experienced entrepreneur, educator, and community organizer.
In the past, he founded Haukom Associates, an award-winning mechatronic design and manufacturing consultancy in California with clients such as ABC News Interactive, Electric Power Research Institute, Johnson & Johnson, and Sony.
Richard developed instructional tools for Indian engineers for the US Agency for International Development; surgical simulations for medical device companies; and business simulations for the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
To learn about the lives and needs of people living in extreme poverty, Richard regularly engages with residents and community organizations in Africa.
Rita Winkler
Director of Communications, Board Member
Previously, Rita served as Director of Online Technologies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business where she designed communications strategies for prospective and admitted students of the Stanford MBA Program.
Also at Stanford University, she led communications around a major campaign in West Africa for the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies.
Rita has produced communications including instructional content for audiences in biotech, medicine, natural sciences, higher education, and the arts.
Allison Davis
Treasurer, Board Member
Allison brings decades of financial management experience to Kijiji Solutions.
During her tenure at Stanford University's MBA Admissions, she led the marketing, evaluation, and operations teams. Allison led the transition to paperless application as well as to paperless application reading.
Prior to Stanford, Allison was Director of Operations at the California Society of CPAs where she held various positions overseeing departments responsible for course program development, promotion and publishing, course registration, event planning, in-house printing, and inventory and shipping.
Ruwaydah Abdul Rahman
Advisor
Ruwaydah is the founder and CEO of RARC, a Kenya-based consultancy, which promotes active and lasting solutions to challenges experienced by smaller, more linear organizations across the African not-for-profit sector. RARC is active in both the social development and conservation space.
Her expertise comprises fundraising, strategic direction, and institutional capacity building and is crucial to the success of Kijiji Solutions' efforts in Kenya.
Daniela Winkler
Advisor
Daniela is a Senior Project Manager with expertise in International Customer Projects.
She regularly interfaces with governments internationally and has led projects in Africa (Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé); South America (Brazil); North America (USA, Mexico, Canada); and Eastern Europe (Lithuania, North Macedonia).
